Description of Trade or Skill

We are particularly interested in locating skilled people in the following and related trades:

  • building construction, services, maintenance, repair and restoration skills, such as brickwork, stone masonry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry and joinery;
  • land-based/farming skills, such as boundary and access maintenance, woodland management, landscape and horticulture;
  • with particular emphasis on built and natural heritage and conservation skills.

To be eligible to join the Register you must:

  1. live or work within the Craven District, the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale AONB and their immediate surroundings;
  2. or if you are a contractor/employer you are also eligible if you regularly employ people in these areas or have an existing in-area client base.
